The Food Collective is an aspiring zero waste store, deli and Café. It is a not for profit store, established in March 2021 with a mission to serve the community of Salford. Originally created to fund our own food club, that helped so many during lockdown, the Food Collective became a voice of the people.

We are a convenience store with a heart where we strive to help local people through our food club and to help the environment through our zero waste project.

By shopping with The Food Collective you are supporting these community projects and shopping for good!

You can get involved by taking part in our free Kilner jar no packaging products and through various community events.

The Food Collective offers its customers local and socially conscious options, as we believe our community wants their shopping habits to support everyday people, family business and organisations that are in a process of making a world a better place for everyone.

The shop is located just on the corner of Chapel Street, which has always been viewed as the heart of Salford community. Situated in between The Angel Centre, Salford University and Kids adVentures Nursery, the shop also provides its visitors with food and drink options served fresh by our own Chef.

The Food Collective is within The Angel Healthy Living Centre in East Salford.

It is part of health and social care social enterprise – Social adVentures.

Social adVentures exists to help people and communities to live healthier and happier lives.

This pioneering social enterprise runs a number of social businesses including Kids adVentures – a chain of early years day nurseries and Forest schools and, a Forest School Training Centre for adults.
